Naming Ceremonies are a modern alternative to a Christening or Baptism and can happen anywhere you choose, whether that be at home, outdoors or at a venue special to you. 

A naming ceremony is a beautiful way of celebrating the birth of a new baby or a child’s first birthday - a unique occasion to share with friends and family. It can also be a lovely opportunity to welcome step or adoptive children into the family.

From the first time we speak to you we guide you through the process of planning your Naming Ceremony. From finding a venue to organising food, there’s nothing we can’t help you with. But above all else of course we will create for you a beautiful, unique ceremony to welcome your baby or child into the world.

Our Naming Ceremonies often begin with your story as a family and we can include as much detail as you would like. We will write your ceremony entirely for you. It’s lovely to talk about the significance of your child’s name and why you chose it. We can also talk about their siblings or their relationship with other family members such as grandparents or cousins. And of course we love to include any memorable, especially funny, moments that you’ve shared with your little one so far!

You can invite friends and relatives to make promises and blessings to the child with you if you would like to. Maybe you have chosen God Parents or Guide Parents who you will ask to do this. Readings, poems, stories, and songs can be included too and all help to create a unique ceremony.
